About the CAAFA Safe Home Network

CAAFA Safe Home Network (CSHN), a program of the Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA), is comprised of over 100 partners representing sixteen different sectors of the community (law enforcement, faith-based, social service agencies, private citizens, etc). The network builds on the assets of the Northern Pinal County, Arizona community, while increasing awareness of domestic abuse and improving access to essential resources.

The CSHN Resource Committee, consisting of both private citizens and representatives from local community agencies, formed after CSHN Partners recognized limited knowledge of resources as a major community challenge, and began meeting in June 2004 to proactively address this barrier. Frustrated with existing resource guides that cost money, had outdated or limited information, and/or lacked information about services available to the Northern Pinal County area, the CSHN Resource Committee set out to address this community challenge in a collaborative effort.

Committee members recognized that collaborating would mean shared effort, opportunity to tap into various disciplines and expertise, and create a useful product for community-wide and diverse users.

Thanks to the support of the United Way of Pinal County and the work of CSHN Resource Committee and the Community Alliance Against Family Abuse, the Human Services Resource Directory for Northern Pinal County has become a reality.
